5 Modern Day Cars that Will One Day Be Classics

Speed. Handling. Power. And let's not forget beauty! We at Farm Boy Garage have a serious love for all things muscle and torque. From classic vintage to pure muscle, if it's got four tires and an engine we're already in love. But we're not just fans of old classics. We have a serious appreciation for modern cars too. Check out our list of 5 modern cars that are destined to become classics!

Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat
Dodge wasn't playing when they manufactured the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, with 707 HP car.  Not only does this car have power but it will brakes from 70 mpg in just 154 ft.  You would think with the sound this car produces from the outside it would be loud on the interior as well.  Wrong, surprisingly the Hellcat is very quiet on the inside.  You will need to roll down the windows to hear the roar of this soon to be classic.

Chevrolet Corvette 427 Convertible
The 427 had a short model run and large displacement which will ensure this car to be on the any Corvette collectors list as a must have.  Chevy engineers felt that the chassis rails on the Z06 weren't right for the 427 so the they replaced the chassis rails with the regular Corvette's chassis.  Pretty much everything but the frame of the 427 was the same as the Z06.

Dodge/SRT Viper
This car undoubtedly an American icon.  There was concern in 2009, when Dodge Brand President announced that they Viper would end production in 2010.  In the fall of 2011 it was announced that will next generation of Viper would be revealed in 2012.   The 2013 model was unveiled at the New York Auto Show in 2012.   It was made available for race teams in 2013 featuring a 8.4 L engine that is capable of producing 680 HP.

2017 Trans Am 455 Super Duty
The new Trans Am 455 Super Duty is the first model built around the sixth-gen Camaro and the lighter Alpha chassis. While the exterior of the Trans Am 455 Super duty is styled after the Trans Am of the 70's, the new model is a complete redesign that features sleek body lines with masculine proportions and traditional retro styling. The new Super Duty churns out 1,046 ft.-lbs. of torque to complement the 1,000 horses it makes.

2009 Pontiac Solstice Coupe

With only 1266 coupes manufactured before GM went into bankruptcy those who purchased the car are sure to have a classic on their hands in the future.  The Solstice Coupe came with a removable roof but if you were planning on taking the roof off, you had to plan it because the roof did not fit into the cargo space.  Collectors will want to search for the GXP version which had 260 HP with 2.0 L turbo.
