After hours of searching the internet, you have a short list of cars you want to go look at. These items will help make this transaction much easier on you. Clean and Clear Title This might not be something you think of right away, but it needs to be on your mind. You don’t want to fall in love with a car only to find out there are issues with the car's title. You need to make sure the car has been registered with the state and that the title is in the seller’s name. If there is or was ever a lien on the car you need proof of that lien being satisfied before you can register the car in your name. Double check the title and look for any signs of lien.
