Tips for Driving Your Classic Car in the Winter

You may have already stored away your classic car for the winter, but we are here to tell you that you do not have to keep it up for the entire season! Although we do recommend to tread lightly when choosing to drive your vintage ride in the colder seasons, we do have some tips if you decide to go for a winter drive that we will go over in this week's blog!
Keep reading below to find out our winter driving tips!
1. Change Your Tires
Depending on what tires you currently have, it probably is in your best interest to switch them out for some durable, winter tires to help you avoid any damages, or even worse, accidents that can occur throughout the snowy months.
In addition to just needing stronger-gripping tires, it may actually be a task you needed to accomplish regardless to be able to safely drive your sweet vintage ride!

2. Take it Easy
Just because you want to go for a joyride, doesn't mean you need to be exceptionally hard on your car- especially throughout the winter season. To help get your car adjusted, as well as to warm up quickly, drive slow and steady. You definitely do not want to risk the integrity of your vehicle. The best way to avoid damages would be to take your time when you start your trip.
You will have plenty of time to show off your badass American muscle car without tearing it up within the first 10 minutes.

3. Clean Your Ride
It's no shocker that with winter, comes snow. And sludge. And ice. If you decide to go on a joyride, you want to ensure that you clean your ride exceptionally well in order to avoid any damages or corrosion to your vehicle.
Luckily, if you do find yourself in a sticky situation where your vintage ride gets damaged, you can trust in the best classic car restoration team to help you restore your vehicle to its former glory!
Winter may not be the best time to drive your classic ride, but it's still doable and enjoyable if done correctly! Take our advice and follow these tips to have the best case scenario experience with your ride where you don't damage your vehicle and you get to showcase your badass ride around the town.
