In regard to our pure devotion and appreciation of GM’s awesome history in the muscle car world, we’re sharing with you our top five picks for sexiest General Motors Muscle Cars of the century. We’re pretty sure some of these beasts makes your favorites list as well. Check it out!

’67 Camaro SS 396
The 1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS 396 made the top of our list for many reasons. 1967 was the debut of the Camaro in response to Ford’s Mustang. A few months into production, a 396 cubic inch big block was introduced. The 396 was 325 horsepower and was a whopping $263 over the base 295 horse 350 V8. The Camaro is not only on our list because it was the Mustang’s rival, but because the car is just awesome to look at! Especially, the hidden headlights that were included with the Rally Sport Package. The Camaro now is in its sixth generation and has been the go-to muscle car for many GM Muscle lovers.

’63 Corvette Sting Ray
1963 was a big year for the Corvette. This was the first year for the second generation, and in 1963 GM introduced the “String Ray” name as well as the Z06 Competition Package. Both of which are still used on the current seventh generation “C7” Corvette. The reason the 1963 Corvette is so sexy to us is the sleek coupe body style and unique, but short lived, split rear window design. Not to mention, this car’s super light body style made it quick on the track! Unfortunately, this design was only available in 1963 returning to a full back glass in 1964.

’70 Chevelle SS
Next up on our list is the 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS. This machine is not only on our list because of its classic Coke bottle styling and great looks. This car had some serious muscle! The SS 396 Chevelle included a 350 horsepower 396 V8. If you opted for the cowl induction option, it bumped up to 375 horsepower. The LS5 454 cubic inch V8 produced 360 horsepower in standard form and the cowl induction version was also available. The LS6 claimed to produce 450 HP! Talk about power!

’77 Pontiac Trans Am
We all know why the 1977 Pontiac Trans Am makes our list. Who hasn’t dreamt of running from Buford T. Justice while hustling illegal booze in this car! The car featured in Smokey and the Bandit was a 1977 Trans AM Special Edition. The SE models were offered with a L80 Oldsmobile 403 V8, L78 Pontiac 400 V8, or if you needed a little more power, the W72 Performance Package was the ticket. This package included a version of the L78 Pontiac 400.

’87 Buick Grand National GNX
1987 Buick Grand National GNX. While it was just boasting a six-cylinder, this car has some serious looks! In 1987 (the final year of Buick’s Regal Grand National), Buick partnered with McLaren Performance Technologies to produce the classic all black GNX. The all black absolutely MADE the car, and the turbo charged 3.8 which ran the ¼ mile in 12.7 seconds at over 113 miles per hour definitely helped. Speed and beauty… we call that a win.
