5 Modern Cars that are Destined to Become Classics

Speed. Handling. Power. And let's not forget beauty! We at Farm Boy Garage have a serious love for all things muscle and torque. From classic vintage to pure muscle, if it's got four tires and an engine we're already in love. But we're not just fans of old classics. We have a serious appreciation for modern cars too. Check out our list of 5 modern cars that are destined to become classics!

2017 Trans Am 455 Super Duty
The new Trans Am 455 Super Duty is the first model built around the sixth-gen Camaro and the lighter Alpha chassis. While the exterior of the Trans Am 455 Super duty is styled after the Trans Am of the 70's, the new model is a complete redesign that features sleek body lines with masculine proportions and traditional retro styling. The new Super Duty churns out 1,046 ft.-lbs. of torque to complement the 1,000 horses it makes.

2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28
The legendary Z/28 returns, but this one takes its inspiration from the original Z/28 of 1967. It’s a serious track car: more than 300 pounds lighter than a ZL1 and powered by a 505-hp 7.0-liter V-8 mated to a six-speed manual. With a unique suspension and 19-inch wheels, it hugs the track like a lover, pulling more than 1.0 g on the skidpad and lapping faster than a new Porsche 911. And with all the track-focused mods, you won't be seeing many on the road, which means the rarity will bump that value up, just like it did for the original.

2018 Aston Martin V12 Vantage
Possessing dazzling charisma, and a core of inner steel, the Vantage is an icon of style and substance, inspired through the Aston Martin racing pedigree to create the purest of thoroughbreds. Throughout its production life, the entry-level Vantage received two manual, V12-powered trims: one with a six-speed, and one with a dog-leg seven-speed. Both were made in limited numbers, and unsurprisingly, both are fantastic to drive.

2016 Porsche Cayman GT4
The Cayman GT4 represents Porsche's dedication to the enthusiast. This car comes with the flat-six from the Carrera S, mated exclusively to a six-speed manual transmission. The GT4 pulls harder than any other Cayman, sounds great while doing so, and delivers the sort of perfectly proportional throttle response without the need for turbo. Combined with upgraded aero and suspension, the cars check all the boxes for a desirable future classic.

2017 Dodge Viper
The Viper is an unmistakable American icon. With a bespoke ordering plan and a number of special editions, the Viper will be like the muscle cars of old when it crosses the blocks at Barrett-Jackson in 20 years. The menacing SRT Viper is a two-passenger, race-bred grand touring car powered by an 8.4-litre V10 engine that produces a prodigious 645 horsepower and 600 lb.-ft. of torque. Although production of the Viper stopped last year, we expect this car will still be a popular choice for car enthusiasts for years to come.
